WHO IS AN ACCOMPLISHED TEACHER?

An accomplished teacher is dedicated to making knowledge accessible to all students. He or she acts on the belief that all students can learn. He treats students equitably, recognizing the individual differences that distinguish one student form another.

He has a rich understanding of the subjects he/she teaches and appreciates how knowledge in his/her subjects are created, organized and linked to other disciplines.

He creates, enriches, maintains and alters instructional setting to capture and sustain the interest and attention of his or her students and to make most effective use of time.

He can assess the progress of individual students as well as that of the class as a whole. He contributing to the effectiveness of the school is working collaboratively with other professionals on instructional policies, curriculum development and staff development.
